Call for Papers: 8th Annual Southern Regional Conference for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (SoHoST)

Atlanta, GA

This year’s SoHOST conference will be held March 28-29 at the Georgia
Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. In the tradition of the Midwest
Junto and the Joint Atlantic Seminars in the History of Biology and
Medicine, SoHoST seeks to support a community in the American South for
scholars in the fields of history of science, history of technology and
history of medicine.

SoHoST provides a welcoming environment for graduate student
presentations as well as a collegial venue for more established
academics to try out new material. Junior faculty, post-docs and
graduate students are invited to submit paper proposals on any theme in
the history of science, technology and medicine. The 2013 meeting
included presentations on a range of topics including 18th Century
physics, the history of American public health, and development projects
in India.

Proposals should be no more than 300 words and should include a name,
title, affiliation, and contact information.

Submission deadline: December 16th, 2013.
