Florence Nightingale Museum
Nine month contract
£25,000 pro rata, 3 days per week
Closing date: 3rd November 2011
Interview date: 8th November 2011 at the Florence Nightingale Museum

Background:
The Florence Nightingale Museum is about to undertake a major digitisation project and is looking for a Digitisation Co-ordinator to manage and successfully complete every aspect of the work.
In the collection of the Florence Nightingale Museum there are 170 letters written by Nightingale, with a further 700 letters deposited with the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA). The museum has been awarded a grant by the Wellcome Trust to transcribe, digitise, fully catalogue and publish both collections of important primary source material. The successful candidate will have past experience in delivering similar projects, good documentation skills, a strong awareness of digital records and their conservation, excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight but realistic budgets and timescales.
