Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at CRASSH. Deadline: 1 April 2001

Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
Deadline: 1 April 2011

CRASSH is delighted to announce the first year of a five-year programme of
interdisciplinary postdoctoral research fellowships funded jointly by the
Mellon Foundation and the Isaac Newton Trust.

Applications are invited for two 2-year interdisciplinary Postdoctoral
Research Fellowships aimed at researchers working in any field of the arts,
social sciences or humanities, starting in October 2011. The fellowships
will enable post-doctoral fellows to consolidate their research and
publication record while developing a related project or initiative at
CRASSH during their two-year fellowship. Research proposals should broadly
relate to the Centre's theme for 2011-13, Cultures and Politics of the
Transregional. For more information and to apply, please see

Conference Support Competition 2011-12
Deadline for applications extended to Friday 11 March 2011

Open to college and university faculty and graduate students of the
University of Cambridge only.

We are looking to support genuinely interdisciplinary conferences convened
or co-convened by Cambridge researchers. As our funds are limited (we
estimate that we will be able to support around 20 conferences in this
competition), the emphasis is on using CRASSH resources to enhance their
academic dimension. We encourage conference organisers to make ample
provision for discussion and for the participation of graduate students.
Those wishing CRASSH to support meetings and workshops related to funded
projects may also apply for administrative support, stating clearly the
funds already available. For full details and to apply please see
http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/page/91/conference-funding.htm.
