The University of Portsmouth, Centre for European and International Studies Research, is advertising a number of PhD bursaries (fees & maintenance grant) for three years starting 1 October 2011. We are especially interested in projects in the fields of European and global history from the 19th to the 21st century, including in particular those that focus on transnational dimensions of integration and globalisation broadly conceived extending beyond one country studies.
