Job opening: seven three year (post-doctoral) research positions
The Faculty of Arts & Philosophy
Seven full-time doctoral-relations assistantships at the Faculty of Arts (tel.
+32(9)264.39.30) –

a 100% salary: min. €29 069,73 – max. € 45 317,25(now paid at 151, 57%)

Profile of the candidate:
- S/he must hold a doctorate in one of the disciplines of the Faculty of Arts
and Philosophy (the degree conditions must be met by date of appointment). The
areas are: Philosophy and Ethics, Language and Literature, History, Archaeology
and art history
- S/he must have outstanding scientific research productivity in his/her field;
we expect at least four publications in the form of (co-) authorship of articles
listed in the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index
or the Science Citation Index or in the form (co-) authorship of a book
published by an international publisher and listed in the Research Council of
Ghent University

.
- Lectures, posters, and presentations at scientific conferences and workshops
are recommended;
- The necessary didactic, organizational and communication skills to support
doctoral students (in the framework of the Doctoral school);
- The candidate must determine whether he / she is eligible for the office under
the provisions of Art. 94 University of the Decree;
- The application must be accompanied by a research plan that explains how
research output will be maximized.

Content of the position:
- Scientific output in terms of refereed journal articles and refereed
monographs;
- Participation in education at the MA level;
- Scientific service;
- Minimum 90% of the time should be spent on scientific research.
