Early Modern Cosmology/Astronomy (1450-1650)

We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral research associate for the
AHRC-funded project, 'Diagrams, Figures and the Transformation of
Astronomy, 1450-1650', awarded to Prof Nicholas Jardine, FBA, Dr Liba Taub
and Dr Sachiko Kusukawa. The successful candidate will work full-time on
this project, including maintaining and updating the project website,
participating in project seminars and workshops, helping to organize
workshops, and providing editorial assistance for publications. The
successful candidate will have the ability to work reliably and efficiently
to deadlines and targets. He or she will be expected to produce at least
one research paper a year on a topic relevant to the project, and will be
mentored by one of the project investigators.

Candidates should have:
• An excellent research record in early modern science.
• Proficiency in English, if not a native speaker.
• Preferably, proficiency in Latin.
• familiarity with web designs or databases
• experience in using image-processing and bibliographic softwares.
• Completed their doctorate by the time of taking up the appointment.
