University of Edinburgh: tenure-track fellowships in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies‏

The Science, Technology and Innovation Studies subject group at the University of Edinburgh invites applications for one or more Chancellor's Fellowships in Social and Political Sciences. These prestigious awards are aimed at early independent research career individuals of the highest potential who have begun to establish a reputation for their quality research at the forefront of their discipline and who have a commitment to learning and teaching at university level. The tenure-track Fellowship is held for 5 years, concentrating mainly on research in the first instance. Subject to satisfactory review at the end of year 3, the Fellow will then move to a standard University academic open-ended contract. It is anticipated that most appointees will be successful in obtaining an open ended contract.

Successful applicants will normally be appointed at Grade 8 having completed their PhD and acquired equivalent relevant postdoctoral experience which meets the University Grade 8 Academic Job Profile.

The deadline for applications is 5pm GMT on 18th April 2013.

Further information about the posts and about application procedures may be found by following the "Academic vacancies" link on the University of Edinburgh jobs website: http://www.ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/human-resources/jobs.
