CFP: Science and Technology in the Czech Lands in the 1960s - Deadline: Oct. 31, 2010

The Department of the History of Science and Technology of the National Technical Museum in Prague – in collaboration with the Institute of the Contemporary History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Society for History of Sciences and Technology (Czech Republic) – organizes the Conference “The Science and Technology in the Czech Lands in the 1960s”. The Conference is to be held in Prague from Tuesday 7th to Wednesday 8th December 2010.

The Conference thematic blocks:

I. Science, technology and society - Significance of science and technology for economic and social development - The Czech scientists and engineers abroad: study stay, exile and emigration - International collaboration and its development in the field of science and technology

II. Professional sections - Industrial branches and productions - Natural sciences and research work - Social sciences, humanities, archival science, and museology

III. Memoirs

The applications are to be submitted by October 31, 2010 either by e-mail or per post.

Conference language is Czech (Presentations in English and German are possible).

No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

Conference fee: 250 Kč, students and seniors 100 Kč.
